The participants had chance to learn about the small business in Berkaber such greenhouses, wood factory, beekeepers, dried fishes and organic fertilizer.
Repat Armenia hosted its fifth Meet & Greet event in 2017 on 21st of October in cooperation with Sahman NGO. This time we had a very special event, we went to Berkaber, a border village in Tavush province, where we had the chance to meet the locals and to learn about their daily life.
We had the opportunity to support the villagers and got delicious and healthy local produce, dried fruits, dried fish and homemade honey. We learned about Sahman NGO development projects in Tavush province.
50 people from USA, Canada, Syria, Lebanon, Iran, Turkey, Argentine, Uruguay, Russia, Belarus, UK, Namibia and Armenia visited the Berkaber school, the Armath Lab, the newly renovated kindergarten. The participants had chance to learn about the small business in Berkaber such greenhouses, wood factory, beekeepers, dried fishes and organic fertilizer.
In the end of the day, they had a tour in the persimmon gardens and picked their own ones.
