In 2014 Sahman began working with the existing beekeepers in Chinari to improve their conditions and help with their ability to market and sell their product. The project was carried out with the assistance of Rhoan Alps and G2iA.
The existing beekepers as well as hives was accounted for and entered into a database followed by extensive training session on new and innovative methods of beekeing by an expert consultant who thereafter visited the village once a week during the hight of the honey season. The local beekeeprs association received assistance in coordinating their efforts and were then able to present and sell their produce at the annual Dsegh honey festival.
With Sahman’s training and consultation the beekeepers of Chinari not only receive much needed knowledge in new beekeeing methods but were also able to better coordiante their work and access new markets for their produce.
