Artsakh

Artsakh Republic or Artsakh is an unrecognized state in the South Caucasus. It is practically connected to Armenia in military-political-economic terms. The latter ensures the security of Artsakh.
The capital and largest city of Artsakh is Stepanakert, which is the administrative, cultural and economic center of the country.
The Artsakh Republic historically occupies almost the entire territory of the Artsakh province of Greater Armenia, as well as a small part of Syunik and Utik provinces. The great Armenian historian Leon compared Artsakh with a “huge citadel”, without which “it is impossible to imagine the defense of the heart of Armenia, that is, the country of Ararat.”
The geographical position of Artsakh is mountainous. The highest point is Gomshasar, 3724 meters high.
Until the war in 2020, Artsakh did not have any border communities, but during the war, Artsakh suffered heavy territorial losses, many villages became border guards, and enemy positions were located near the villages.
That is why “Shaman” NGO decided to carry out works in the border communities of Artsakh.
